Personal identification information
We use the personal information you voluntarily submit to us on our website in order to process sales orders, customer service, registrations, enquiries, product updates, email newsletters and other features we make available.

Non-personal identification information
We collect non-personal identification information from website visitors such as pages visited, time on website, device type, country location, etc. to help provide better and more relevant products, services and marketing communications.
Our website uses first party ‘cookies’ to enhance your experience. We do not allow cookies from third parties. If you choose to set your browser to refuse first party cookies some parts of our website may not function properly.
How we protect your information

Our website is hosted on our servers in Sweden within the European Union (EU) and we comply with the rules and regulations of the EU with regards data protection. How we protect information on your device (OPI / KEEP)
In order to enable you to access your device over a wifi connection, remotely or when using our mobile apps we make use of the IP address allocated the device and the associated public IP assigned to you by your ISP. Your device regularly connects to Open Products servers to update DNS pointers and to check for software updates. These services are on by default, but can be deactivated in the administrative interface.
Open Products operates a ‘zero knowledge’ policy with regards the information on your device.
Information on your device is not shared with us or accessible by us. Your device passwords are not shared with us or accessible by us. If you forget your device password we cannot issue you a new password. It is therefore VERY IMPORTANT to safely record your password to avoid complete data loss.
Emails sent from or to your device do not, by default, pass through Open Products’ email servers. If you choose to use the Open Products email servers, the emails you send and receive will pass through our servers and should be encrypted for full privacy. This is the case when using any email service provider e.g. your ISP or Gmail.
The Open Products back-up service fully encrypts the data on your device, using your password, before it is sent to our back-up servers in Sweden. Open Products has no ability to decrypt (i.e. make readable) your back-up data on our servers or grant access to a third party to do so.
